I am an educational psychologist interested in learning about how people think about their own learning. In my research, I draw from perspectives on cognition and metacognition, motivation and emotions, and identity and lived experiences. I am passionate about teaching and intentionally intertwine my research and educational practices.

Currently, I am a visiting assistant professor in the Psychological and Brain Sciences department at Colgate University. Formerly, I was a postdoctoral scholar at the University of California, Davis contributing to a multi-institutional project developing 6th grade math curriculum with focuses on executive function development, criticality, inclusivity, and relevance for historically disenfranchised students. I continue to collaborate with Dr. Yuko Munakata’s Cognition in Context Lab and Dr. Jamaal Matthews' Belonging for Equity in Learning Lab.

Outside of my professional pursuits, I was classically trained in ballet and continue to enjoy dancing. You can also find me playing piano, knitting, and baking (ask me about my maple and cream pie recipe).
